據張元導演所回憶，王小波還未看過成片就過世了。多年前看過劇本和小說，當時感到不知所云，現在我能體認到室內劇之下的拷問和提審，背后所包含的權力色彩，性依賴，愛的呼喊，秩序的裂縫。本子很好，只是電影語言不夠先鋒，甚至覺得有點浪費了這個本子，如果賈曼來拍會是什么樣呢。
